The Role:
Due to our continued growth and client demand, we have the opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented flood risk engineer to join our Radcliffe / Manchester Ancoats office and to be part of our long-term sustainable growth.
As a flood risk consultant, you will be responsible for completing flood risk assessments and conceptual drainage strategies for planning applications and much more. You will also have the opportunity to manage small scale projects and work with our team of geoenvironmental consultants for multi-disciplinary projects.

Responsibilities
* Production of Flood Risk Assessments for planning applications.
* Development of conceptual SuDS Strategies and drainage solutions.
* Liaison with sub consultants (i.e. to obtain topographic / CCTV survey).
* Liaison with clients and regulators supported by team management.
* Project management.
* Contribute to Geo-environmental Investigation reports.
Requirements
* Degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or similar.
* 2 years+ experience within a UK based consultancy role completing Flood Risk Assessments and conceptual drainage strategies.
* Experience with Microsoft applications, AutoCAD, GIS and Causeway Flow / Infodrainage or similar.
* Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to think strategically and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
* High motivation and desire to build upon existing experience and continuing professional development with The LK Group.
* Self-motivated team player with exceptional people skills, showing enthusiasm, flexibility and versatility.
* Ability to work under own initiative while fully co-ordinating with line manager's requirements.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Motivation to join professional body and work towards Chartership (i.e. CIWEM).
* Full UK driving licence.
