Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week) *Please note that we do not currently offer any Tier 2 sponsorship* About the role Here at Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust, we’re seeking a Support Officer to play a pivotal role at the heart of our Housing and Communities Directorate. You’ll work closely with the Director of Communities, providing proactive, confidential, and highly efficient support to help them focus on delivering our strategic priorities. You’ll also provide coordination and organisational support to the Heads of Service, ensuring that action logs, strategic objectives, internal and external performance measures, and action plans are updated. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll be at the heart of a team that’s committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred housing and community services. About you You’ll bring proven experience in providing a confidential and high-quality support service to a Director or Head of Service within a busy and complex organisation. You’ll be confident working on your own initiative, making well-informed decisions, and managing competing demands effectively. With a background in project management, you’ll have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, including government agencies and community organisations. You’ll be comfortable reviewing data and presenting key insights, with strong organisational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities at once. Above all, you’ll demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and a positive approach when handling sensitive situations.
