Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Part Time Nursery Practitioner, qualified to Level 3 in Childcare, to join our team at Poulton Childcare which is based on the grounds of Queensway Methodist Church in Poulton le Fylde.
We are a full day care nursery accepting children from the age of 9 months. We are open from 8am to 6pm all year round. We do close on Bank Holidays and a week between Christmas and New Year.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement engaging fun activities that promote learning through play, supporting the developmental needs of each child. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, communicating effectively with parents about their child's achievements. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive team environment, sharing ideas and best practices. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in childcare, including health and safety policies. Support the management team in daily operations, contributing to the overall success of the nursery.
Skills
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting. Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. A commitment to ongoing professional development in childcare practices is essential.
