4 nights starting at 22:00 till 06:00, followed by 4 rest days. You will work a day shift, Monday - Friday, for 6 weeks during training.
The core activity of the Stage Specific Operator role involves undertaking Cutting, Check-weighing, and Primary Packing tasks associated with the oncology drug product manufacturing process. All operations are performed within an Aseptic Processing Area; therefore, candidates must be medically fit to work in such an environment, adhere to strict operational behaviors, and work with minimal supervision.
While having detailed knowledge in at least one operational area, the development focus will be on gaining high-level operational knowledge across all activities related to Cutting, Check-weighing, and Packing processes.
Job Responsibilities
Key result areas and specific tasks include:
* Set-up and operation of specific equipment.
* Performing technical adjustments and calibrations.
* Operation of weighing and counting balances.
* Managing consumables, components, and equipment transfers.
* Inventory management and reconciliation of products and components.
* Performing minor and participating in major interventions.
* Completing GMP documentation and cleaning activities.
* Sampling, equipment monitoring, environmental and personal monitoring.
* Testing critical devices and setting up inline filters.
* Gathering KPI data and supporting continuous improvement initiatives using Lean tools.
* Training and coaching new starters and participating in adverse event investigations.
Specific Tasks by Area
* Cutting: Product inspection, equipment positioning, stock management.
* Check-weighing: Manual QC sample assembly, record archiving, equipment management.
* Primary Packing: Leak testing, safety checks, visual inspection, bulk packing.
Qualifications and Skills
* Strong literacy and numeracy skills, GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths.
* Ability to work in an Aseptic Processing Area and comply with GMP & SHE requirements.
* Operational knowledge of line equipment and electronic media including MS Office.
* Good communication, quick learner, team player, organized, accurate, and documentation skills.
* Manual handling ability and flexibility to adapt to changing operational needs.
