Skills and Progression Teacher (Personal Tutor)
£32,178 - £35,306 (depending on experience)
Part Time 0.5fte, working pattern Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Skills and Progression Teacher to join a talented and collaborative Skills and Progression Team in our successful and inclusive sixth form college. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to our students’ experience at Bilborough and their life chances by ensuring they are well supported and guided to achieve their full potential throughout their journey at college.
Working closely with the Head of Faculty for Skills and Progression and Lead Skills & Progression Teachers, you will ensure students are well prepared for the next steps of education, training and/or employment by developing their wider skills and promoting a positive growth mindset for all students.
Through the delivery of high-quality skills and progression group sessions and 1:1s with students, you will be responsible for monitoring the students in your S&P classes and ensuring high levels of attendance, progress and achievement. You will also work collaboratively with curriculum teams and student support services including the college’s safeguarding officers to ensure the welfare and wellbeing of your students.

You will require a full teaching qualification backed by real passion for helping students to succeed. ECTs are welcome to apply and will be supported to achieve QTS/ QTLS status.You will experience of working with 16–19-year-olds in a supportive capacity and have the capacity to manage a high caseload, backed by a deep commitment to inclusion and innovation.
