Your New RoleAs a Senior Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of new products, as well as the continuous improvement of existing machinery. Working closely with the Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering engineered solutions within agreed timescales while ensuring high standards of quality, performance, andpliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design and develop new products and enhance existing machinery
2. Apply engineering best practices including QFD, FMEA, design for manufacture, prototyping, and testing
3. Ensure all designs meet safety, performance, and reliability standards
4. Manage engineering data in line with global standards and systems
5. Identify cost reduction opportunities through design improvements and supplier collaboration
6. Investigate and resolve customerplaints in a timely manner
7. Stay up to date with industry trends,petitor activity, and emerging technologies
What You’ll Need to Succeed
8. Degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience), ideally with design experience in mobile or tracked equipment
9. Strong 3D CAD skills (CREO preferred) and experience with PDM systems
10. Solid understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems
11. Experience in mobile recycling machinery (highly desirable)
12. Knowledge of Oracle TMS (advantageous)
13. Strongmunication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
