Consortium Professional Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with our valued client to recruit a Stock Controller to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong stock control and stores experience, ideally in an engineering or technical environment.
The Role
As Stock Controller, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of inventory across the site. Youll be involved in a variety of day-to-day operational tasks that support the engineering team, including:
* Issuing stock to engineers and putting stock away
* Kit building for engineering projects
* Stock checking and cycle counts
* Supporting stores relocation, binning and labelling stock
* Installing racking and maintaining an organised stores environment
* Processing orders placing and booking in deliveries
* Working collaboratively with colleagues based in other locations (remote IT connection provided)
This role offers a hands-on and varied workload and is ideal for someone who enjoys working both independently and as part of a wider engineering support team.
What Were Looking For
* Proven experience in a stock control or stores-based role
* Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
* Comfortable using IT systems for order processing and stock tracking
* Experience in kit building and supporting engineering teams is highly desirable
* Able to adapt to changing priorities and physical aspects of stores management
Whats on Offer:
* Competitive salary between £30,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience)
* 6-month contract with a view to going permanent
