We currently have a vacancy for a cleaner within our centre. This role is very important to the successful running of the centre, ensuring our customers have the best possible shopping experience. You will be line managed by the Garden Centre Manager. Rota: Every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 08:00 - 12:30 and alternate weekends Saturday and Sunday 08:00 - 12:30 To be successful in this role, we are looking for people: A friendly disposition with the motivation to do a good job. A natural ability to work both on your own and as part of the wider centre team. Main duties and responsibilities: Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the centre in both the Garden Centre and the Restaurant, including, but not limited to: Areas to clean include shopfloor, toilets, staffrooms and offices. Hoovering/sweeping and mopping tiled and carpeted floor areas. Cleaning, dusting and polishing all surface areas. Replenishing handwash, toilet rolls and paper towels. Clearing and removing rubbish and emptying bins. Removing cobwebs and dust. Understanding and adherence of health and safety procedures and COSHH regulations. Maintaining stock levels of cleaning material and ordering new materials as required. Keeping the cleaning material area clear, tidy and ensuring the equipment is clean, maintained and well looked after.
