Overview
We are looking for a kind and friendly individual to join our dedicated staff at Robertswood School. We require a Class Teacher who is an exceptional and inspirational, friendly and driven individual, who can join our team from September 2026.
Start Date: 1st September 2026
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday
Salary: MPS level dependant upon experience
Contract Type: Fixed term contract until August 2027.
Closing date: 15th April 2026

About us
Robertswood School is a welcoming school set within the leafy village of Chalfont St Peter. We are a two-form entry school, educating children from Reception through to Year 6. We are delighted to also have the benefit of a Nursery for over 3 year olds. We currently have around 400 children on roll.

About the role
The role of class Teacher will:
• Establish a safe and stimulating environment for pupils, rooted in mutual respect
• Set goals that stretch and challenge pupils of all backgrounds, abilities and dispositions
• Demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviour which are expected of pupils
• Be accountable for pupils’ attainment, progress and outcomes
• Adapt teaching to respond to strengths and needs of pupils
• Be aware of pupils’ capabilities and prior knowledge, and plan teaching to build on these
• Having a secure knowledge of the relevant subjects and curriculum areas, fostering and maintaining pupils’ interest in the subject, and addressing misunderstandings
