Job Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Central London (Hybrid – 2–3 days in office)

Overview

The company is scaling rapidly and is looking for a Controls Engineer to play a key role in developing, optimising, and maintaining automated systems across its operations.

Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain control systems for automated industrial processes
* Program and troubleshoot Siemens PLCs (e.g., TIA Portal, S7)
* Integrate and support robotic systems within production environments
* Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams to deliver robust automation solutions
* Support commissioning, testing, and continuous improvement of systems
* Diagnose and resolve control system faults to minimise downtime
* Contribute to documentation, standards, and best practices for controls engineering
* Assist in scaling automation capabilities as the business grows
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience working with Siemens PLCs (essential)
* Experience with industrial robotics (programming, integration, or maintenance)
* Strong understanding of control systems, automation architecture, and industrial communication protocols
* Experience within HVAC systems or building management systems (desirable)
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
* Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on engineering mindset
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
