Mental Health Support Worker - Ashcombe Court
Location: Weston-super-Mare BS23 • Hours: 35 per week • Salary: £13.20 - £13.90 per hour
Ashcombe Court supports an 8 bedded home for Mental health, Autism, Acquired Brain injury and Learning disabilities, and supports residents with everyday living skills such as shopping, cleaning and cooking. Staff help residents have fun and make every day the best it can be for each person.
Responsibilities
* Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
* Promoting independence while helping residents live a fulfilling life.
* Encouraging development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
* Maintaining and assisting with health care needs, including accompanying residents to routine appointments or administering medication.
* Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills and shopping.
* Assisting with personal care as required.
* Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking.
* Providing guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
Qualifications
* Experience within the care sector is not required as full training, coaching and development are provided.
