We are seeking a Physicians and APPs to join our team in a role focused primarily on Veteran Affairs (VA) Compensation & Pension exams.
This role can also be an excellent opportunity for a new graduate Provider t to gain valuable clinical experience while giving back to the men and women who have served our country. It is also an ideal position for Providers who want greater independence, flexibility in scheduling, and a compensation model that rewards productivity and initiative.
Our team partners with organizations that support Veterans through the disability claims process by providing high-quality, objective medical examinations. These exams are an essential part of ensuring claims are handled with care, accuracy, and efficiency.

Reports To: Medical Director
Employment Type: Contract (1099)
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Perform VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations and medical disability evaluations.
* Review medical records, prior diagnoses, and supporting documentation, and combine those findings with a
* thorough physical examination to assist in making clinical determinations as required by exam protocols
* Complete Medical Opinion and records review evaluations, including reviewing documentation and providing objective, evidence-based assessments when requested
* Conduct focused physical exams and document findings thoroughly and accurately
* Complete structured medical documentation and required reporting
* Provide professional, respectful, and compassionate care to all patients
* Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the EMR
Education and Experience:
* Colorado State Medical License
* Board certification required
* Military or Veteran patient populations (preferred)
* Experience in Urgent Care, Family Practice, Occupational Medicine, or Physical Examinations preferred.
* Strong documentation and assessment skills
* Ability to perform thorough, structured exams efficiently
* Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
* Experience with disability or impairment evaluations (preferred)
Certificates and Licenses:
* State of Colorado Medical License
* DEA certificate
* BLS/CPR certificate
* Loyal Source VA Certified Provider (or willingness to obtain)

* Contract position with flexible scheduling: This is an independent contractor role designed to offer flexibility while maintaining consistent clinic coverage.
* Minimum weekly commitment of ~20 hours: Providers are asked to commit to a minimum of 20 scheduled hours per week to ensure continuity and patient access.
* Outpatient clinic setting: All care is provided in a clinic environment with no hospital rounding or inpatient responsibilities.
* No On call: Providers are not required to take after-hours call, allowing for a predictable schedule and work–life balance.
* Consistent and predictable workflow: Scheduled appointment blocks and structured exam types help create a steady workflow and reliable daily schedule.
* Lower patient acuity and focused exam visits: The majority of visits are scheduled examinations rather than acute urgent care complaints, allowing providers to focus on thorough assessments, documentation, and patient interaction without the pressure of high-acuity cases.
* Control over schedule and performance-based earnings: Providers have input into their schedule and appointment availability. Compensation will include a percentage of profits, providing the opportunity to increase earnings based on productivity.
* Paid hourly training and onboarding: All required training and onboarding are compensated at an hourly rate, ensuring providers are supported as they learn workflows, documentation requirements, and exam protocols.
* Productivity-based earning potential: Compensation structure allows providers to increase earnings as they become more efficient and complete more exams.
