Senior Development Technologist – Chilled Food | Kent | Part-Time (Permanent)


A leading chilled food manufacturer in Kent is looking for a Senior Development Technologist to join their team on a part-time, permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong development experience who’s ready to take more ownership of projects in a standalone role.


The Role:

Working closely with the Head of New Business Development, you’ll lead projects from concept to launch — including recipe development, sample preparation, coordinating trials, and working with technical and production teams to bring new chilled products to market.


Key Responsibilities:

* Develop recipes and prepare samples for internal and customer approval
* Support and coordinate factory trials and handover to production
* Manage specifications and documentation
* Work closely with technical and production to ensure products are feasible and compliant
* Identify improvements to existing products and processes
* Present products to customers when required


What We’re Looking For:

1. Solid experience in a food manufacturing NPD or technical role
2. Strong understanding of chilled food development
3. Confident working across functions and taking ownership of projects
