Senior Estimator
Location: Carlisle / Manchester & Site Visits
Reports to: Commercial Director
Are you an experienced Estimator ready to take the lead on high-quality tenders and play a key role in a growing business?
We are looking for a Senior Estimator to join a collaborative commercial team, taking ownership of the full tender lifecycle while helping to secure profitable, strategically aligned projects.
What you’ll be doing:
* Leading the preparation of accurate, competitive tenders
* Managing bids from enquiry through to submission and handover
* Producing detailed take-offs, pricing and risk assessments
* Maintaining a clear and organised pipeline of opportunities
* Building strong relationships with contractors and clients
* Supporting project teams with structured handovers
* Mentoring junior estimators and driving best practice
What we’re looking for:
* Strong estimating experience in painting & decorating or a related construction trade
* Solid understanding of drawings, specifications and Bills of Quantities
* Ability to manage multiple tenders in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Experience with estimating software, CRM systems and Excel
