Conrad Consulting is delighted to be working with a long‑established property consultancy in Suffolk as they seek to appoint an ambitious Development Surveyor to join their team at their Framlingham office. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a respected, multi‑disciplinary practice with deep roots in the region and a strong pipeline of development‑related work.
The Role
You’ll play a key part in supporting and delivering a wide range of development projects, working closely with landowners, developers, and internal teams. The role offers excellent variety, spanning land appraisal, valuation, development viability, and strategic advice.
This position would suit someone who enjoys a blend of office‑based analysis and client‑facing work, with the autonomy to manage their own workload and contribute to the continued growth of the development arm of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake development appraisals and feasibility assessments
Assist with land valuations, option agreements, and promotional agreements
Provide strategic advice to clients on development potential and planning considerations
Support negotiations on land transactions and development opportunities
Prepare high‑quality reports, valuations, and supporting documentation
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities
About You
We’re keen to hear from candidates who can offer:
Experience in development surveying, land agency, or a related discipline
Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of development viability
Excellent communication and client‑facing abilities
A proactive, commercially minded approach
RICS qualification (MRICS/AssocRICS) or working towards it is advantageous
Knowledge of the Suffolk and East Anglia property market is beneficial
