A national law firm is seeking a solicitor to join its Education and Charities team and develop a growing Data Protection specialism. This role is based in Cheltenham and is open at NQ–4 PQE. Offering exposure to a broad commercial caseload with the opportunity to build a dedicated data protection focus, the firm welcomes applicants from private practice or in‑house backgrounds, and sector experience can be taught.
You will advise on a mix of commercial matters and data protection work, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, supporting clients on compliance, and helping shape a developing practice area. Working closely with senior lawyers, you’ll gain the support and autonomy needed to grow your data protection expertise while maintaining a varied commercial workload in a collaborative environment.
The ideal candidate will bring strong drafting skills, commercial awareness and an interest in deepening their knowledge of UK GDPR and wider privacy frameworks.
