Remuneration: £25,600 per annum equivalent, based on an initial 4-day-per-week commitment

Hours: Freelance, approximately 4 days per week initially, with the potential for the role to evolve into a more senior and permanent position as Cygnets Online grows

About Cygnets Art School

Cygnets Art School is a fast-growing franchise network specialising in fine art education for children. We currently operate branches across the UK, with exciting plans for continued national growth, international expansion, online learning and wider creative education projects.


We are now launching Cygnets Online – a new digital membership platform designed to bring the Cygnets experience into homes around the world through on-demand art projects, tutorials, creative challenges and educational resources.


We are looking for an ambitious, commercially-minded and highly organised Growth & Operations Manager to help launch, manage and grow Cygnets Online into a leading online art membership platform for children and families.


The Role

You will work directly with the CEO and take ownership of the day-to-day growth and development of Cygnets Online, including membership growth, customer experience, content operations, systems, reporting and overall business performance.


The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the platform and creating the foundations for long-term growth. As the business develops, there will be opportunities to take on increased responsibility and help build what we believe can become a significant part of the wider Cygnets group.


Key Responsibilities

1.Business Growth

* Develop and implement strategies to grow memberships and recurring revenue.
* Identify and execute customer acquisition opportunities.
* Manage membership launches, promotions and growth campaigns.
* Explore partnership, affiliate and influencer opportunities.
* Analyse performance data and recommend improvements.

2.Membership Experience

* Create and optimise member onboarding journeys.
* Develop strategies to improve engagement and retention.
* Monitor customer behaviour and identify opportunities to reduce churn.
* Oversee customer support systems and member communications.
* Help build an engaged and thriving online community.

3.Marketing

* Manage email marketing campaigns and customer automations.
* Coordinate content marketing activity across relevant channels.
* Support and oversee paid advertising activity.
* Develop lead generation campaigns and marketing funnels.
* Monitor campaign performance and ROI.

4.Content & Platform Management

* Coordinate the organisation, upload and release of content.
* Manage and maintain the online content library.
* Work with content creators, freelancers and instructors.
* Help shape the long-term content strategy of the platform.
* Ensure the platform remains professional, engaging and easy to use.

5.Operations & Reporting

* Build systems and processes to support growth.
* Manage key software platforms and integrations.
* Track and report on key metrics including membership growth, revenue, retention, engagement and conversion rates.
* Produce regular performance reports and recommendations.
* Identify operational improvements as the business scales.


Skills & Experience

We are looking for somebody who is highly organised and proactive, commercially aware and data-driven, entrepreneurial and comfortable working in a growing business environment, confident taking ownership and making decisions, creative, resourceful and solutions-focused, able to work independently and manage multiple projects, and passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience.


Essential

* Experience working within an online membership, subscription or digital learning business.
* Strong understanding of customer acquisition and retention strategies.
* Experience managing marketing campaigns and customer journeys.
* Excellent copywriting and communication skills.
* Strong organisational and project management skills.
* Experience using marketing, automation and reporting tools.
* Ability to analyse data and make informed commercial decisions.

Desirable

* Experience with platforms such as MemberPress, Kajabi, Teachable, Thinkific or similar.
* Experience with email marketing and marketing automation.
* Experience with Meta Ads and digital advertising.
* Community management experience.
* Experience working within education, creative industries or children's services.
* Experience managing freelancers, contractors or external agencies.
