Grade UE06: £34,610 to £39,906 per annum (pro‑rata if part‑time)
Department: CAHSS / Research Office
Contract: Guaranteed hours (up to 9 hours per week), fixed term 12 months
We are looking for two Research Assistants to provide research assistance to research staff and projects in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, on specified tasks where methods are predominantly pre‑defined. The roles are advertised as Guaranteed Hours contracts with a minimum of 10 hours per year. We welcome hybrid working requests on a non‑contractual basis combining remote and on‑campus work. Research Assistants will be expected to use the PGR facilities allocated to them as a student unless working on confidential data.
The Opportunity
These posts are available only to current University of Edinburgh PhD students and are designed to support staff with short‑term or ad‑hoc research projects or data gathering exercises. They also provide research development opportunities for PhD students.
