About the company
Our client is a national food manufacturer with eight sites across the UK, who is looking to add a Mechanical Engineer to the engineering team based at the Wrexham site. This is a hands-on and varied role where you’ll be part of our on-site engineering team, ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently and reliably.
Mechanical Engineer - The Details
Salary up to £48,000
4 on / 4 off (Day Shift 6am – 6pm)
Full-time, Permanent Mechanical Engineer - Responsibilities
Carrying out planned, reactive, and preventative maintenance on production and intake systems.
Troubleshooting and resolving breakdowns, minimising downtime.
Liaising closely with mill colleagues to support continuous production.
Driving continuous improvement in efficiency, safety, quality, and performance.
Ensuring accurate maintenance records are kept for compliance and safety. Mechanical Engineer - Requirements
A recognised qualification/apprenticeship in mechanical and electrical engineering.
Minimum 17th Edition certification (18th Edition desirable).
Experience in industrial engineering environments with both short and long-term project delivery.
Good knowledge of Star Delta, PLCs and Safe Isolation processes.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well within a team. About Us
