Eventus Legal are seeking an ambitious Commercial Property Solicitor or Legal Executive to join one of the East Midlands most renowned multi-service law firms in Loughborough. This is a permanent, full time commercial property opportunity. Role Responsibilities
As a Commercial Property Solicitor (NQ+) your new role will see you working closely with the solicitors and fee earners within the department. You’ll take responsibility for your own caseload of commercial property files and handle each transaction from instruction through to completion.
You will have support from an experienced team and head of department and have full legal assistant/paralegal support to enable you to focus on providing high quality service to each and every client.
Specific duties will include:
* Managing a varied caseload of commercial property transactions from instruction through to completion
* Drafting, reviewing and negotiating leases, licences, contracts for sale, transfers etc
* Advising clients on acquisitions, disposals and landlord and tenant matters
* Conducting title investigations and reviewing searches, enquiries and Land Registry documentation
* Liaising with clients, agents, lenders, surveyors and other solicitors to progress transactions efficiently
* Providing commercially focused legal advice
* Managing completions and post-completion matters, including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications
* Maintaining accurate file management, billing records and compliance with regulatory requirements
* Supporting business development activities and helping to build and maintain client relationships
Person Specification
Applications are sought from Commercial Property Solicitors and/or Legal Executives who have experience and sound understanding within commercial property either as an NQ with experience prior to qualifying or post qualification experience.
* Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (NQ+) - all PQE levels are considered for this role
* Prior experience managing or assistant on a varied caseload of commercial property transactions
* Technical knowledge of commercial acquisitions, disposals, landlord and tenant matters
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Competent IT skills and experience using case management systems
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Experience building and maintaining strong client relationships
