Oracle Cloud Technical Specialist – 12 month FTC – Edinburgh
At Harvey Nash, we’re currently partnering with our client who is looking to make a key hire within a small team supporting a major enterprise digital transformation.
They are seeking an Oracle Cloud Technical Specialist to play a critical part in ensuring the organisation gets maximum value from Oracle Cloud ERP (Finance), HCM and related modules. You’ll be the technical expert and take responsibility for systems enhancements, technical configuration, patching, integrations, troubleshooting and optimisation of Oracle Cloud services.
You’ll work closely with Finance, HR, Digital and other stakeholders and will ensure Oracle Cloud supports the business efficiently whilst remaining secure and compliant.
Requirements
Expert-Level Knowledge of Oracle Fusion
* Deep proficiency across core Oracle Fusion modules, including: Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cash Management, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Human Capital Management, Payroll, and Recruitment.
* Strong understanding of the Fusion data model, including the ability to write and optimise SQL queries.
Advanced Technical Skills in Oracle Cloud Tooling
* Hands-on experience with Redwood, Visual Builder Studio / Application Composer, and REST APIs.
* Proficiency in BI Publisher (BIP), Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), and development or configuration activities that integrate with these tools.
* Experience working with Payroll Fast Formulas and HDL / HSDL file-based uploads.
* Proven Experience Managing Oracle Cloud Quarterly Patching
* Demonstrated ability to manage the end-to-end Oracle Cloud quarterly patch cycle, including impact assessment, testing, issue resolution, stakeholder coordination, and post‑deployment validation.
Strong Understanding of Public Sector Controls
* Comprehensive knowledge of public sector requirements, including: audit and assurance controls, security standards, regulatory compliance, financial governance, and operational risk considerations.
Delivery of Technical Solutions in Complex Environments
* Evidence of successfully delivering Oracle Fusion–based technical solutions within large, complex, or multi‑stakeholder organisations, ensuring stability, quality, and alignment with business needs.
Ability to Translate Requirements into Scalable Digital Solutions
* Skilled in analysing and translating business requirements into robust, secure, scalable digital and technical solutions that support operational efficiency and long‑term organisational goals.
* Oracle Fusion AI Agents
* Automated Testing
* Experience in a government or arms‑length public sector organisation.
* Knowledge of project management and agile delivery approaches.
* Understanding of HR/Finance process design and optimisation.
* Experience coordinating or supporting UAT, systems training, or change management.
