Learning Disability Social Worker (Long Term Temporary)

We are seeking a Learning Disability Social Worker to join the Adult Social Care Learning Disability Team in Blackpool. The team supports adults and young people with learning disabilities, providing direct support and commissioning specialist services from providers.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 9am – 5pm; Friday, 9am – 4.30pm.
Location: Blackpool Council Bickerstaffe Offices.
This role involves working with adults and young people with learning disabilities, conducting Care Act Assessments and reviews. The post is line-managed by the Learning Disability Team Manager.
The team includes staff from Blackpool Council's Adult Social Care and NHS Health staff from Blackpool Teaching Hospitals.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed social worker with excellent communication and organizational skills. You should have a solid understanding of the Care Act 2014, experience in safeguarding, risk management, and care management.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with adults with learning disabilities and their families, a passion for learning disabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and partners. You should be a strong team player, an excellent communicator, and ready to contribute your energy and experience to support the team and service users.
Essential Criteria:
* Degree in Social Work
* SWE Registration
* Right to work within the UK
Additional requirements:
* Professional qualification in social work
* Social Work England registration
* Enhanced DBS/Update service
* References for the last 5 years of employment
