Job Description PR Specialist
Location: UK (with occasional UK & EU travel)
My client, a well known brand is recruiting for an enthusiastic and proactive PR Specialist with at least 2 years of experience to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in an always-on press office while contributing to impactful campaigns across consumer lifestyle and FMCG trade media.
You’ll be at the heart of delivering culturally relevant, earned media—spotting trends, crafting compelling stories, and building strong relationships with journalists and influencers.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Monitoring daily news and cultural trends to uncover timely PR opportunities
2. Creating engaging stories from wellbeing insights and category trends, tailored to both consumer and trade audiences
3. Pitching to journalists across lifestyle, food, FMCG, and trade media
4. Building and maintaining strong media relationships, especially within trade press
5. Identifying and managing influencer partnerships, including sampling and event coordination
6. Collaborating with external PR agencies to deliver day-to-day activity
7. Supporting integrated campaign planning and execution
8. Managing multiple PR workstreams with strong organisation and attention to detail
9. Drafting high-quality content including press releases, pitches, blogs, and briefing documents
10. Producing polished presentations and reporting on PR performance
11. Maintaining media lists and coverage tracking
12. Supporting internal teams with communications and ad-hoc requests
What We’re Looking For
13. 2–5 years’ PR experience (agency experience preferred)
14. A strong editorial instinct and understanding of what makes a story land
15. Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
16. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
17. Experience working with influencers and media contacts
18. A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset
19. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
20. Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Additional Requirements
21. UK-based with flexibility to travel within the UK and occasionally to Ireland and the Netherlands
22. Willingness for occasional overnight stays
23. A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
