Job Title: Fabrication Technician
The role is to work as part of a fast-paced fabrication team within a busy and innovative engineering workshop. The successful candidate will report directly to the Welding and Fabrication Manager, with a high level of autonomy within the role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all relevant information and paperwork within the work order are available before starting.
* Verify that issued materials match the requirements of drawings and work order information sheets.
* Check that the Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) aligns with drawings and weld logs.
* Confirm all welding consumables issued are correct according to the WPS and suitable for the job.
* Complete cladding according to specifications (Manual and Auto Clad).
* Record and complete paperwork associated with work packs.
* Maintain high standards of Health and Safety and housekeeping.
* Perform any other tasks you are trained for or delegated by line managers.
Requirements:
* Experience in a similar role.
* Ability to read engineering/technical drawings and produce work to specification.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work in a busy environment, using initiative and planning ahead.
* Flexibility and adaptability to change.
* Self-motivated with a good work ethic and attention to detail.
