We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join TimePlan and work in SEN schools across Poole and surrounding areas.
About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to thrive both academically and socially. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored support, enabling every child to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
Assist in adapting classroom activities and learning materials.
Support children with communication, social, emotional, or behavioural needs.
Promote independence, inclusion, and positive learning experiences.
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to individual education plans (IEPs).
About You
Experience working with children with SEN.
A caring, patient, and proactive attitude.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) - preferred.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
