Are you a Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker, looking for an opportunity to work within community mental health services? We have a range of opportunities for both experienced band 5 practitioners and newly qualified band 5s. This post is open to newly qualified social workers. In line with AWP trust policy all newly qualified social workers (NQSW) will be recruited initially at Band 5 level, regardless of advertised role banding. All NQSW’s are expected to successfully complete their ASYE within 2 years of employment, unless there are exceptional circumstances in which case it may be extended for a further 2 years. Within Sarum Community Mental Health Team, we believe that supporting colleagues to meet their maximum potential is essential to providing great care.
Main duties of the job
We are a multidisciplinary team consisting of a talented pool of both registered and non-registered mental health professionals. We have moved away from the use of care programme approach (CPA) and now work with service users and carers under the “your team, your conversation, you plan approach”, which is a strength based, intervention lead model of care, that supports the individual to address their own identified needs. We support the conversation through the use of a personal well-being and safety plan, as well the use of patient related outcome measures (dialogue +).
