Proposed salary range: £27,000 - £37,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. This range reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
Purpose of the Role
To coordinate and support the delivery of schemes across the UK by managing associated logistical and administrative activities, while providing guidance and support. The role acts as a key point of contact for apprentices, trainees, line managers and stakeholders, ensuring a positive learning experience and smooth operation of programmes. It also supports recruitment, onboarding and continuous improvement of schemes through collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities and Impact
* Managing the logistical and administrative tasks associated with schemes’ delivery across the UK, including recruitment, onboarding and learning and training.
* Maintaining learning records and progress reports for all apprentices and trainees within each scheme, documenting any performance concerns.
* Acting as the first point of contact for learner pastoral support and advice.
* Assisting the Schemes Specialists/Team to manage scheme requirements, liaising with internal Team Leaders and external stakeholders such as Education/Learning Providers.
* Serving as a point of contact for BBC line managers who have queries about a trainee or apprentice.
* Assisting BBC Talent Acquisition and Outreach colleagues with talent attraction initiatives, recruitment and assessment.
* Contributing to the design and delivery of the schemes.
Essential Criteria
* Strong judgement in deciding when to deal with issues and when to refer up; able to use own initiative to problem‑solve.
* Ability to manage BBC logistical and administrative systems (e.g., travel and accommodation bookings, Microsoft packages such as Excel, PowerPoint).
* Able to prioritise and complete tasks under tight deadlines.
* Competent influencer and networker, capable of communicating concisely and confidently to varied audiences – both verbally and in writing.

* Knowledge of BBC policies, procedures, systems and guidelines, including health and safety and safeguarding.
* Understanding of future workforce/technology trends in Production and Technical Operations and the skills profile of new joiners.
* Experience and commitment to mentoring/developing young talent.
* Insight into the challenges facing young people new to the world of work.
* Technical knowledge of apprenticeships.
* Ability to build credibility with senior colleagues within divisions and externally.
* Event management skills.
* Understanding of relevant BBC policies and procedures as they relate to developing trainees and apprentices.
