As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our Teams. We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Reporting Engineer to join our Infrastructure Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.
We are looking for reliable, flexible and driven Reporting Engineer join our Geotechnical Team. As a member of Geotechnical, you will be exposed to a variety of unique projects throughout the country. It is key that you have the balance to be proactive and independent, while simultaneously being a strong Team player. Good management skills, and a strong understanding with experience in the industry are vital in order to succeed in this role.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
* Review all data prior to issue to clients at preliminary, draft and final stages of factual reporting, from field data input to final report issue. Control and prioritise as necessary
* Check / supervise compilation of Engineers logs when lab testing completed. Resolve / assist Engineer where queries arise
* Liaison of internal and external geotechnical and environmental testing laboratories regarding expected testing, ongoing testing and expected reporting dates. Ensure all data issued to the lab is correct and samples and schedules are sent to the lab as soon possible, after the schedules are received
* Preparation and review factual reports written by Engineers in the office and assess and prioritise report reviewing requirements efficiently
* Writing and issuing of desk study reports
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
* Confident and knowledgeable of various ground investigation techniques on both land and overwater
* Managing and collating site data using company software systems.
* Logging of Soil and Rock in accordance with the specification and BS5930:2015+A1:2020.
* Mentoring junior staff and assisting with training and upskilling
