Job Title: Production Planner
Do you have planning experience in the life sciences or production sector? We are recruiting for a Production Planner to join our Aseptic Services team. Your responsibilities will include determining and maintaining a daily production plan aligned with available capacity, including reactive adjustments and changes in patient status.
This role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, including bank holidays. Working hours are from 10 am to 6 pm, based in Runcorn.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide accurate and current information to Customer/Patient Services regarding production backlog impacts on customer service.
2. Maintain adequate stock levels to meet customer requirements for stocked items.
3. Coordinate and plan new patient installations in accordance with patient needs while managing business operating costs.
4. Review production schedules regularly in relation to the ASU's capacity.
5. Plan and schedule workflows, prioritizing patient requirements to meet delivery deadlines.
6. Plan the sequence of compounding activities and other manufacturing operations.
7. Analyze and interpret the construction of the bill of materials for daily activities.
8. Monitor production against plans and advise managers of potential issues.
9. Participate in daily production meetings to understand the status of the ASU and communicate necessary actions to relevant departments.
10. Assess maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance requests, determining scope based on capacity.
11. Assist in planning and scheduling work during shutdown periods, such as bank holidays.
12. Maintain training records in compliance with current procedures and SOPs.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
* Experience in the life sciences or production sector is ideal.
* Experience in a planning department within a similar role is preferred.
* Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
