Overview

As an Early Help Senior Support worker, you will have responsibility for practice development. You will work on an operational level with the Service Manager to analyse local need and support practitioners to provide a robust package of intervention for families referred into the service.

You will also carry a small case load, demonstrating a strong practice base that can be role modelled to staff. In addition, you will need to promote inclusion and demonstrate a sound knowledge of safeguarding and quality assurance. provide a specialist advisory and support service to schools and school staff in relation to the management of behavioural difficulties and strategies to prevent fixed-term suspensions and permanent exclusions. This service will be available for all maintained primary/secondary mainstream schools and academies in Lincolnshire, to support their ability to positively manage pupils displaying behaviour that challenges. To support delivery of workshops for schools and parents/carers with focus on addressing SEND needs.


Responsibilities

1. Collating, analysing, evaluating referral data to the management team in line commissioning requirements and KPI’s.
2. To work alongside the Service Manager with responsibility for screening, triaging and allocating Family Connect Forms.
3. To provide supervision for allocated Early Help Support Workers.
4. To arrange, deliver/co deliver training and practice development workshops.
5. To keep the tracker updated so that data reflects the volume of activity needed for reporting purposes.
6. To keep accurate case recordings and provide case studies to evidence the impact the service is having on the local community.
7. Working in partnership with key partners e.g BCT, Health, Family Hubs, Police etc, building and maintaining good relationships. To hold a reduced case load, and provide short, sharp early help intervention for families referred into the district.
8. Comprehensive understanding of Early Help, in line with Right Help Right Time.
9. Ability to complete assessments, reflecting need, as well as being outcome focussed.
10. To deputise when necessary for a Service Locality Manager. Chair ‘Team Around the Family’ meetings as and when required.
11. Embrace and implement Family Action’s Equality & Diversity Policy in every aspect of your work and positively promote its principles amongst colleagues, service users and other members of the community.
12. Comply with Family Action’s Health and Safety and Data Protection policies and protect your own and others’ health, safety and welfare.
13. Work flexibly as may be required by the needs of the service and carry out any other reasonable duties as required.
