We specialise in maintaining safe, compliant, and well-managed Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) across Scotland and we’re looking for a motivated Property Inspector to join our growing team. The Role You’ll carry out detailed inspections of HMO properties to ensure compliance with all Scottish housing, licensing, and safety regulations. From assessing fire and electrical safety to identifying hazards and reporting on property standards, your work will help keep tenants safe and landlords compliant. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections of HMO properties in St Andrews. Check compliance with fire, gas, and electrical safety standards. Identify, document, and report any hazards or breaches of licensing conditions. Produce clear, professional inspection reports and recommend corrective actions. Liaise confidently with tenants, landlords, and letting team to explain findings. Assist with implementation of new compliance processes and safety checks. Maintain accurate records in line with current housing legislation. We’re looking for someone who is: Highly detail-focused, with the ability to spot compliance issues quickly. An excellent communicator, confident when engaging with tenants and landlords. Organised and methodical, able to produce professional reports and maintain accurate records. Familiar with Scottish HMO licensing and safety standards (preferred). Experienced in property management, housing inspection, facilities, or building maintenance (advantageous).
