Overview
Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a specialist power solutions business to recruit a Business Development Manager. This is a permanent, full-time role based in South Yorkshire, offering a salary of £50,000 to £55,000 depending on experience, plus bonus and profit share. The role is remote with monthly travel to Rotherham.
Role & responsibilities
* Develop new business opportunities in target markets and expand existing accounts
* Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and challenges
* Use consultative selling to create proposals and solutions that add real value
* Manage the sales cycle from lead generation through to deal closure and handover
* Maintain accurate records and reporting through CRM and business tools
* Collaborate with proposals, projects and admin teams to ensure successful delivery
* Represent the business through site visits, client meetings and presentations
Skills & experience
* Ability to develop relationships and drive growth
* Proven track record in a Business Development Manager role
* Knowledge of power generation applications or electrical engineering (diesel, gas, solar or CHP)
* ComAp or Switchgear product range knowledge is an advantage
* Strong leadership, organisation and decision-making skills
* Excellent communication and presentation ability
* Commercially minded, technically confident and able to adapt to different clients and industries
* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to customer sites
