We are seeking an experienced and talented Chef Supervisor to join our culinary team in Hull, United Kingdom. As a Chef Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing kitchen operations, maintaining high-quality standards, and leading a team of skilled culinary professionals.
1. Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
2. Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu items and seasonal specials.
3. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations throughout the kitchen.
4. Manage inventory, place orders, and control costs to maintain budget targets.
5. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
6. Oversee food quality, presentation, and portion control for all dishes.
7. Assist in creating and maintaining standard recipes and procedures.
8. Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
9. Participate in menu planning and pricing strategies.
10. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including equipment maintenance.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Chef Supervisor or in a similar role within a professional kitchen.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
* Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and current food trends.
* Excellent understanding of food safety, hygiene practices, and relevant UK regulations.
* Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proficiency in menu planning, cost control, and kitchen management software.

* Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous.
