We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Driller to join the UK’s leading ground engineering and geotechnical contractor.
What you'll be doing
* To ensure GI works are undertaken in accordance with the specification and to a good standard
* To act as Lead Driller and supervise the Assistant Driller/s
* Ensure accurate records and paperwork are submitted on time
* Conducting oneself in a way that reflect and promotes the Van Elle company values.
* Understanding and acting in accordance with Van Elle’s policies and procedures.
* Any other tasks that you may reasonably be required to undertake.
Who we're looking for
* Experienced Rotary and or Cable Percussion Lead Driller
* NVQ Level 2 in Land Drilling
* Be willing to travel and work away from home
* Be flexible and work nights and weekend shifts as and when required
* Have good communication skills and attention to detail
* Be able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
* Have an ability to prioritise and organise work effectively
* Work consistently whilst under pressure to maintain a professional approach at all times
* Show initiative to make decisions within own area of authority
* Develop relationships with clients and colleagues
Other Requirements:
* Eligible to work and live in the UK.
* Flexibility to travel in the UK.
* A full driving licence, that is valid in the UK (desirable)
