Director of IT

£85,000 - £100,000 per annum

About the Role:

•Lead and develop Hartpury’s IT services, providing strategic direction and operational leadership across the organisation

•Play a key role in enabling Hartpury’s 2030 strategic ambitions through the effective use of technology and digital innovation

•Report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), providing strategic direction for IT strategy, digital transformation, and technology investment

•Ensure IT services effectively support teaching, learning, research, and professional services enhancing the experience of both students and staff

•Provide leadership and oversight of IT infrastructure, systems, cyber security, service delivery, and data management

•Provide support to Hartpury’s transformation programme, driving efficient processes and continuous improvement activities

About You:

•Strong understanding of IT governance, cyber security, risk management and regulatory compliance

•Demonstrated experience of leading digital transformation, technology-enabled change and continuous improvement initiatives

•Strategic yet pragmatic, with the ability to balance long-term vision with hands-on operational delivery

•Collaborative and customer-focused, with a strong commitment to supporting students, staff and academic services

•Commercially and risk aware, demonstrating proportionate decision-making in a regulated setting
