Business Function
Critical to the EQ UK Shareholder Services business and the growth of the corporate governance advisory sector is delivering corporate governance and ESG advisory services to our clients. The primary responsibilities of this role are to support our Corporate Governance team through research, analysis, and industry knowledge, including monitoring and updating knowledge databanks, with ongoing training to develop towards a Corporate Governance Manager level.

Core Duties and Responsibilities
Corporate Governance and ESG Research
* Support the maintenance of a regular internal ESG, regulatory, and corporate governance knowledge framework.
* Analyze best practices on Voting, CG, ESG, DEI, and Industry themes.
* Prepare and support externally facing presentations on ESG and governance developments, company resolutions, and market trends.
* Assist in preparing updates on remuneration, ESG, DEI, and governance issues.
* Undertake research projects and analysis to support governance managers.
Corporate Governance and ESG Advisory
* Support team members in delivering advisory services to clients.
* Prepare research, reports, and briefing materials referencing governance codes and best practices.
* Provide risk analyses using in-house and third-party systems.
* Attend and minute client meetings as required.

* 1-3 years' experience in corporate governance, investor relations, or related fields.
* Knowledge of UK Corporate Governance Code and Companies Act.
* Proactive with a passion for industry developments.
* Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
* Proficient in MS Office and data management.
* Resilient, proactive, and able to work under tight deadlines.
* Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Capable of establishing a professional impact and understanding core issues quickly.
