Job Title: Process Operator
Location: Thanet, Kent. You will also need to be willing to travel across multiple sites and have a current full driving licence.
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 38 hours
Salary: £27,496.64 per year
Ideally you will be based in or around the surrounding areas of Thanet, Kent. In Southern Water you’ll have the benefits of structured hours, with standby opportunities giving you greater earning potential.
Responsibilities
* Compliance testing.
* Maintenance tasks - unblocking pumps, screens and valves to ensure continuous plant operation.
* Repair of alarms systems.
* Monitoring, collating and reporting of data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.
* Fault finding and problem-solving to respond to breakdowns.
* Site hygiene in line with regulatory obligations.
You Will Be
* Comfortable working outdoors, potentially in all weather conditions.
* Prepared to work within the company’s rota of a 7-day working week and participate on a standby rota.
* Part of a team who delivers excellent performance by understanding how you affect the overall mission of Southern Water.
* Have a good sense of humour, not to be squeamish.
* Adaptable, flexible, patient, reliable and self-motivated.
* Good time management and able to work effectively on your own.
* Keen to learn and operate complex processes with high quality controls.
