R T Agricultural Services is a growing, family-run agricultural business supporting farmers and contractors across Dorset. With established partnerships including SaMASZ UK, Browns Agricultural Machinery and LWC Group, we continue to expand while maintaining the close-knit, supportive culture that defines our business. We are now looking to recruit a skilled and motivated Agricultural Engineer to join our team.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on position involving both workshop-based and on-site work. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and preparing agricultural machinery to a high standard, ensuring our customers remain operational during busy farming periods.
Key responsibilities include:
* Servicing, repairing and maintaining agricultural machinery
* Diagnosing mechanical and hydraulic faults
* Working on tractors, telehandlers and a wide range of implements
* Pre-delivery inspection (PDI) and preparation of new machinery
* Attending on-site breakdowns and providing professional customer support
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is practical, reliable and takes pride in their work.
* Experience working with agricultural machinery
* A qualification in Agricultural Engineering or a related field is desirable but not essential
* Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding ability
* Ability to work independently and use initiative
* Good communication skills and a professional manner with customers
* Strong attention to detail
* Willingness to learn and develop within the role
* Full UK driving licence
