The Role As a member of the support staff at this Primary School, you will be expected to build a strong relationship with the pupil and their family to understand home life and school life. Anything can impact a pupil’s behaviour and motivation at school. The Head Teacher is looking to appoint a flexible and dedicated professional with classroom experience. Someone who can bring a caring and nurturing feel to the classroom environment. You must be able to build a relationship where the pupil can trust you and feel safe in your presence. You will be expected to: Work collaboratively with the class teacher to assess development. Have high expectations for the individual to succeed. Have previous experience or understanding of ASD needs. Create a stimulating and purposeful environment Be patient, caring and creative. Be flexible and adapt activities based on the pupils' needs and emotional feelings. Assess and communicate the individuals’ successes and developments.
