Job Overview
The Car Fleet Manager – UK & Ireland is responsible for the operational management, optimization, and compliance of the company’s vehicle fleet across the UK and Ireland (approximately 50 vehicles). The role works closely with long-term leasing partners, internal stakeholders, and external suppliers to ensure efficient fleet operations, excellent employee experience, and full adherence to corporate policies.
This position plays a key role in managing fleet logistics, overseeing vehicle lifecycle processes, ensuring regulatory and policy compliance, and supporting the organization’s electrification and sustainability initiatives. The Fleet Manager also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives by implementing tools, processes, and reporting systems that enhance efficiency, cost control, and fleet governance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day operations of the company car fleet across the UK & Ireland
* Coordinate vehicle allocation, deliveries, and renewals with leasing partners and stakeholders
* Maintain and update fleet policies, ensuring clear communication to employees
* Handle compliance tasks including fines, insurance, and incident/accident management
* Act as the main point of contact between suppliers, internal teams, and drivers
* Manage relationships with leasing companies to ensure service quality and contract adherence
* Oversee EV initiatives, including employee guidance and promoting electrification strategies
* Coordinate installation and management of EV charging infrastructure
* Monitor fleet data, track KPIs, and prepare reports using tools like Power BI
* Drive continuous improvement in fleet operations, cost control, and user experience
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in fleet management (ideally 5+ years)
* Strong knowledge of vehicle leasing and fleet operations
* Understanding of electric vehicles (EVs) and charging infrastructure
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Strong organisational and time management abilities
* Analytical mindset with experience in reporting and data analysis
* Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools like Power BI
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
* Good understanding of compliance, insurance, and fleet regulations
* Strong customer service approach with attention to detail and accuracy
