Overview
Maryculter House Hotel, a historic 4-star country house hotel on the banks of the River Dee, is seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to join our leadership team. Steeped in history yet forward-looking, our hotel combines warm Scottish hospitality with exceptional service, offering guests unforgettable stays, weddings and events in a stunning setting.
The Role
As Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth running of the hotel's day-to-day operations. Working closely with the General Manager, you'll lead and motivate the team to deliver outstanding guest experiences while ensuring efficiency and high standards across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily hotel operations, including front of house, housekeeping, food & beverage and events.
* Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by anticipating needs and resolving issues promptly.
* Support and lead the team in delivering weddings, functions, and corporate events to the highest standard.
* Monitor financial performance, control costs, and contribute to achieving revenue targets.
* Recruit, train, and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence and hospitality.
* Uphold health & safety, compliance, and quality standards throughout the hotel.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
* An experienced hotel or hospitality manager with a proven track record in operations and events.
* A hands-on leader with strong organisational and people-management skills.
* Customer-focused, with a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
* Commercially aware, with the ability to balance service excellence with profitability.
* Flexible, adaptable, and calm under pressure - especially during peak service and events.

Pay: £36,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
