The role overview : This is an exciting, hybrid role within the restaurant for someone who is looking to progress into new areas but needs the platform and support to get there. We provide exceptional service front of house for our guests and are on the hunt for an enthusiastic and passionate waiter / waitress to support our Food team with an opportunity to lean into the Wine and beverage program.
In this role, the ideal candidate would feel equally enthused by learning all about our wine list, as they would in general food service, or supporting the bar team.
We are looking for a passionate team player who has a love of food and drink, and a genuine desire to contribute positively to a driven and successful team, looking to take things to the next level.
The main objective of the role is to deliver an exceptional service for guests, being flexible and comfortable whichever section you work, and translating our brand values - whether guiding guests through the wine list or the food pairings; it's always with renewed care and commitment to enhance their dining experience.

You build good relationships, and understand the special moment our guests have invested in, so strive to always deliver the best experience and maintain high standards set, with great attention to detail and an ability to always follow through with set tasks and challenges.
Your duties will include but won't be limited to:
Responsibilities: Front-of-House Service:
* Provide warm, attentive, and personalised service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience exceeds their expectations.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the dining area
* Serve food and beverages, guiding and advising guests on the menu including flavours, allergens, any dietary requirements and provide recommendations based on their preferences and your knowledge of the menu
* Act as an ambassador for our brand by being proactive, taking pride in the presentation of our space, your uniform, and always striving to be two steps ahead to encourage a seamless experience
* Be proactive in respect of the guest experience and build relationships with our regulars as well as new diners. Offer new information to delight and further engage / upsell to our guests where appropriate
* Be flexible to work across all sections of the restaurant floor and bar
* Support any PDR events when requested
Opportunity to learn with the wine team:
* Assist our sommelier with the beverage program, including learning about our wine list, varietals, regions, and pairings.
* Ensure proper set-up and closing procedures are completed, including the storage of open bottles after each service.
* Participate in wine service, including decanting, pouring, presenting wines to guests, and using the appropriate glassware.
* Ensure all glasses are cleaned and polished ready for use, reporting any breakages to management.
* Follow all company policies and procedures, including responsible alcohol service guidelines
* Proactively manage guest beverage refills, and use your knowledge to increase restaurant revenue by introducing cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
* Support in the management of the wine cellar, including conscientiously monitoring stock and raising any related concerns to the Head of Wine or General Manager
* Attend tastings with the Head of Wine & Sommelier.
