Who You Are You are a qualified Educational Psychologist with a British Psychological Society accredited postgraduate qualification, eligible for full membership of the Association for Educational Psychologists, British Psychological Society, and the HCPC. You have experience working with children and young people up to age 25 at individual, group, and systems levels. You demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement, adaptability to changing demands, and a proactive attitude towards work practices. What the job involves As an Educational Psychologist, you will perform psychological assessments for children and young people aged 0 to 25 with special educational needs and disabilities, following the Children and Families Act and the SEND code of practice. You will deliver setting-based work, maintain collaboration with various agencies, and utilize evidence-informed psychology to enable positive outcomes. Responsibilities include assessing needs, holding a caseload, fulfilling statutory duties within stipulated timeframes, providing relevant training, and continuously improving service efficiency and effectiveness. You will also facilitate supervision processes and assist in the induction and training of peers, if required. Skills Ability to assess and provide psychological evaluations for children and young people between 0-25 years Proficient in using diverse tools and methodologies for positive outcomes Skilled in report writing and interpreting educational implications Strong knowledge of current legislation and learning processes for children and young people Competent in preparing and delivering bespoke training sessions Proficient in ICT, including Word, Excel, and case management systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills
