An established precision engineering manufacturer in Leicester is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their skilled maintenance team. You'll play a key role in keeping a range of CNC and specialist machinery running efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining high production standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform mechanical maintenance on CNC and specialist machinery.
* Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs.
* Undertake refurbishment of plant, equipment, and machinery as needed.
* Support with PLC fault finding and basic interrogation.
* Diagnose and repair faults across gearboxes, bearings, shafts, pumps, tanks, and drive systems.
Requirements
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a maintenance role within an CNC environment.
* Experience fault-finding and repairing CNC multi-axis machines.
* Familiarity with Fanuc and Siemens controls.
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and emerging technologies.
* A proactive, adaptable team player who can prioritise tasks and work independently.
In this position you will work in a skilled team of 5. It is a days role with a 2pm finish every day, and offers an annual salary of £35,000.
