An ambitious and rapidly expanding top 50 accountancy practice is looking for a motivated Semi-Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This opportunity is ideal for a Junior or Trainee Accountant who is ready to take the next step in their career within a progressive firm that works with a wide variety of owner-managed businesses.
Role Responsibilities
* Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements for clients including sole traders, partnerships and SMEs.
* Carrying out accurate bookkeeping and data processing duties.
* Producing management accounts.
* Preparing and checking VAT returns in line with current regulations.
* Assisting in the preparation of audit files and pre-audit planning tasks.
* Providing first-line responses to client queries and supporting ongoing client relationships.
* Taking on general administrative tasks as needed within the team.
Personal Requirements
* AAT qualified or currently progressing through ACCA.
* Previous experience in an accountancy practice, ideally with some exposure to audit.
* Detail-focused and client-oriented with excellent time management skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with both clients and colleagues.
* A positive, can-do attitude with a team-first mindset.
* Analytical thinker with a solutions-based approach to challenges.
* Professional and dependable when handling confidential information.
