About the role

We are currently recruiting a Building Care and Maintenance Assistant to join our team, focusing on maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency of our housing estates. This role is pivotal in ensuring the well-being of our residents and upholding compliance with health and safety regulations. We are seeking a self-motivated individual who can work to high standards and deliver services tailored to resident needs, emphasizing best practice and value.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct intensified building safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations.

Audit contractors regularly to uphold quality standards and project timelines.

Provide proactive support and advocacy for vulnerable residents.

Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues to maintain a safe environment.

Implement environmental sustainability initiatives and maintain estate cleanliness.

Foster community engagement through regular events and feedback sessions.

Ensure regulatory compliance through training and adherence to standards.

Produce detailed reports on audits, inspections, and maintenance activities.

Optimize resource management to minimize waste and reduce costs.

Drive continuous improvement through quality assurance processes and resident feedback.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a thorough understanding of building safety inspections, contractor management, and resident support. You should have experience in emergency response and maintenance, as well as a strong commitment to environmental sustainability. Additionally, you should be able to manage a varied workload effectively, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate proficiency in IT and housing management applications.

Trident Group has over 60 years’ experience of delivering homes, services and innovation for up to 8,000 people in over 3,600 homes in some of the most disadvantaged communities in the Midlands. The Group employs more than 750 staff, works with over 150 volunteers and provides training places and apprenticeships for many more. The Group has an annual turnover of more than £37m and owns assets close than £190m.

The Group consists of;

8. Trident Housing, which provides landlord services for the Group in respect of housing management and maintenance
9. Trident Reach, which is a registered care and support charity delivering person-centred care and support services. These services include supporting people within registered care, domiciliary care, people with learning difficulties, those with mental health needs, young people at risk, older people, BME groups, people at risk of being homeless, those seeking employability, education and training opportunities and those fleeing domestic abuse.
