We are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Essex that is seeking a reliable and organised Art Technician to join their Art department from January. This is a full-time, term-time position, offering an excellent opportunity to support creative teaching and learning within a busy and well-resourced department. The Role As Art Technician, you will provide practical and technical support to Art staff across KS3–KS5. You will play a key role in preparing materials for lessons, maintaining equipment, and ensuring studio spaces are safe, organised, and ready for use. The role is essential to the smooth running of the department and would suit someone with a practical background in Art, Design, or a related creative field. Key responsibilities include: Preparing materials, tools, and equipment for practical lessons Maintaining and organising Art rooms, studios, and storage areas Supporting staff during practical sessions when required Assisting with displays, exhibitions, and enrichment activities Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and supporting health & safety checks School Information This school places a strong emphasis on the creative arts, with Art forming an important part of the curriculum and wider school culture.
