Position: Sales, Marketing & Events Assistant
(Full Time)
Reports to: Head of Events
Role Purpose
We are a dynamic country Estate located in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside between Market Harborough and Northampton.
We are looking for a Sales, Marketing & Events Assitanrt to join our busy Events team. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting and growing Kelmarsh Hall & Gardens as a visitor destination and events venue. The role focuses on delivering effective marketing activity, supporting sales and bookings, coordinating events and weddings, and overseeing the day-to-day operation of the estate shop.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Marketing
* Support pricing, packages, promotions, and sales activity to maximise revenue.
* Plan and deliver marketing activity across social media, the website, email newsletters, and digital campaigns.
* Create engaging marketing content, including copy, photography, and video, that reflects the heritage and character of Kelmarsh Hall & Gardens.
* Manage and update website content and mailing lists, delivering regular newsletters.
* Support advertising, PR activity, and promotional campaigns for events, open days, and showcases.
* Monitor marketing performance and maintain accurate sales and marketing records.
* Support branding initiatives to ensure all communications reflect the luxury, heritage and unique character of Kelmarsh Hall and Gardens.
* Assist with promoting open days, showcases, and special events to generate interest and increase bookings.
* Take regular photo and video content of events.
Events, Weddings & Visitor Experience
* Support the on-site delivery of weddings, events, group visits, and in-house activities.
* Act as Front of House for group visits, ensuring a high-quality visitor experience.
* Maintain the events diary and ensure relevant paperwork is in place.
* Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth delivery
Estate Shop
* Oversee the daily operation of the estate shop, including stock ordering, pricing, presentation, and stock control.
* Process sales and produce basic performance reports.
Administration & Reporting
* Maintain accurate records for sales, marketing activity, events, and shop performance.
* Support the Head of Weddings, Events & Visitor Experience with reporting and budget monitoring.
Person Specification
* Experience in marketing, sales, events, retail, or visitor attractions.
* Strong written, verbal, and digital communication skills.
* Confident using social media, digital marketing tools, and content management systems.
* Highly organised, proactive, and commercially aware.
* Flexible to work evenings and weekends as required.
* Passion for heritage, gardens, and delivering excellent visitor experiences.
Hours of Work
* Full time including evenings and weekends as required.
* Time off in lieu will be given for additional hours worked.
Salary £24,420 to £26,000 dependant on experience.
