The Role
Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is seeking a skilled and analytical Information Analyst to join our Management Information & Funding (MI&F) team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically confident professional to develop and enhance systems and processes that ensure complete, accurate and up-to-date student information, while supporting audit compliance, optimal funding claims and continuous quality improvement across the College.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
As an Information Analyst, you will:
Develop and maintain robust data systems, reference data structures and electronic forms within the student record system to ensure accuracy, consistency and operational efficiency.
Design and optimise data processes that enhance the quality and timeliness of ILR and Student Loans data, supporting funding compliance and audit readiness.
Build, manage and improve automated workflows and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data across systems, ensuring strong data governance and integrity.
Lead on technical development requests by producing clear specifications, delivering scalable solutions, and driving continuous process improvement through automation and system optimisation.
Coordinate software updates and system enhancements, overseeing testing, risk assessment, stakeholder communication and liaison with software providers.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, workflows and data models, and provide flexible support across the MI&F team during peak periods such as enrolment and major system upgrades.
