You will provide comprehensive clerical support and work closely with healthcare professionals, prioritising workload and meeting deadlines. It is essential that you are highly organised and able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
About Us
The role includes preparing, producing, and distributing lists of patients for discussion at the MDT meeting, capturing accurate data during the MDT, live typing to the patients' medical records, and using medical terminology. You will be instrumental in tracking the patient journey from GP referral to treatment, ensuring datasets are collated and accurately entered to meet local and national standards, including the Cancer Outcomes & Services Dataset, Cancer Waiting Times, Chemotherapy, and National Audit data. The post-holder must demonstrate excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills, work well under pressure, and show initiative. We seek individuals with administrative experience, competent IT skills, and strong attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities

Person Specification
Essential Criteria:
* Ability to use own initiative
* Willingness to attend relevant training courses
* Previous clerical/administrative experience
* Competent in word processing, spreadsheets, and database use
* Good communication skills in English
* Minimum GCSE Pass/Grade C or equivalent
* RSA Level II or equivalent typing skills
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience in health or social care settings
* Knowledge of NHS
* Experience working with diversity (e.g., disabled, different cultures)
* Skills in other software (Access, web authoring)
* Ability to communicate in an ethnic minority language or BSL
